Today

Well today we were at Costco. I was wearing a BYU shirt and I kept seeing people eying me, after a few seconds of awkward staring you start to wonder did I start staring at them or did they stare at me first. Ardie must have noticed this because he said, "Wow Kirsten way to give us away with that shirt." When we came home we watched Fireproof. Yes its cheesy acting but I was on this full out emotional roller-coaster throughout the whole movie. Mindy saw me crying and she was like "its okay Kirsten don't cry" Ardie was just laughing at me the entire time. It has a good message, okay? A girl can cry, can't she? Wow, and I have a good 10000000 years before I get married. I need to broaden the types of movies I watch!
I need to be better at blogging because I stink at keeping a journal so I am hoping that between blogging and my "journal" my future posterity will know about me...although I don't know why they would want to know about me crying over FIREPROOF haha :)

Side note: I cut 10 inches off of my hair. I decided to donate it. I figure it was getting so long and I needed to do it before it got too hot. I keep telling myself its okay and it will be back in a couple of months..hopefully.

16 (just a number)

-Yesterday was my birthday I don't know why but for some reason I wasn't that exited. Just kind of seemed like another normal day. I guess that is a sign of growing up :) (traveled to Murray too)

-CAMP, camp was super fun this year I loved it so much. Being a YCL made me feel a little old and it got me thinking about Mindy and when she was one. It is pretty sad to think that this was probably my last year.

- Mom has been so stinkin funny these last couple of days. I love when mom just gets into the really funny sarcastic mood. I didn't really realize just how much I missed her until I came home. On Saturday we went to one of Ardie's little tournament games at Durango. Mom was saying a bunch of random comments. For instance, a kid on the other team got a technical and mom said "wow must of said something about his momma." "Man I don't know why they pat each others butts I would hate it if my butt was always patted, how would you feel?"

Knee slapper moments :)

-There was this card board cut out of a lady in the store. Ardie comes to me and says "wow it took me like a whole second to realize that she was made out of card board"
Ardie you need to stop checking out card board cut outs haha.

In the car after church we watch mom walk to a car that looks just like ours and she starts looking in the windows. Ardie and I the whole two minutes are just laughing our heads off until mom realizes that that was the wrong car. Once again mom is such a cutie!

OKAY...

Wow I need to be better at this whole blogging thing. I think I might just make this into a pointless journal of random things because nothing exciting:

animating, appealing, arousing, astonishing, bracing, breathtaking, commoving, dangerous, dramatic, electrifying, exuberant, eye-popping, far-out, fine,
flashy
, groovy*, heady, hectic, impelling, impressive, interesting, intoxicating, intriguing, living, melodramatic, mind-blowing, moving, neat, overpowering, overwhelming, provocative, racy, rip-roaring,sensational, showy, spine-tingling, stimulating, stirring, thilling, titillating, wild, zestful has happened :)

Well since nothing exciting or shall I say hair-raising has happened I will just write about random things that are going on. (dang how I love thesaurus.com)

The parents have gone to Utah again!! I miss them a lot:( Even though I miss them it seems like being alone with Ardie makes us closer and I learn little things about Ardie- some worrisome and others plain out hilarious. After we have talked really late at night or when he vents to me and me to him. I step back and ask this question to myself "are we booonnnding?"(name that movie).

-Other day at Wal- Mart Ardie asked "do they have a blue- box here so we can get a movie." "Ardie do you mean red -box" haha

-This weekend I was looking through the movies and ardie wanted to watch Pride and Prejudice. Yes our manly 18 year old brother, peach fuzz and all, wanted to watch Pride and Prejudice. Through the first half hour of the movie he kept asking me questions like "Is that Mr. Darcy?" "Are they sisters?" "Who does he like?" "Does she like him or the other guy?."
It was pretty cute. although it was cute I must ask myself, Is that normal?... I knew having five sister would catch up to him one day :)

-Ardie has been doing the dishes with the parents gone and doing his laundry, bedding, everything. He asked me yesterday if I had "whites." Wow kid... your future wife is going to love you and my husband will hate me.

-I also love how in the morning he asks me if I have eaten anything to make sure I eat.

I have come to the conclusion that Ardie is pretty amazing. Even though I miss the parents, I love getting to know my big brother a little more. Sometimes it makes me sad to think that we will both be graduated in a year and he will go on his mission and me to college, as for right now I will enjoy watching Pride and Prejudice with my big brother.

I think people that have a brother or sister don't realize how lucky they are. Sure, they fight a lot, but to know that there's always somebody there, somebody that's family.
'
Wow this post did not turn out like I thought it would ohh well.. hey I told you that there wasn't anything electrifying going on.

Saturday

-Today we went to the temple and did family baptisms as a family it was pretty nice. For a Saturday morning there were a lot of people doing baptisms.

- Ardie and I also had piano repertoire. I didn't do very good but Ardie did really well.

-Unfortunately we really have not watched any Olympics. We watched the opening cermony and that's it. I can't believe it has already been 16 days!

Since Mindy wants new pictures...
What a stud :)

Good enough?

Update:

What has happened since the last post:

- Went to San. Fran.
- Went to Murray twice
- Christmas

San Fransisco was really nice!
I loved how it was just a random trip during a regular weekend. Ardie and I went to school the next day, we were both a little hungover because our flight got in at one on monday morning!! We saw everything there was to see! The Oakland temple and Alcatraz were my favorite :)

Murray
I love going to Murray and Provo! Charles and Craig are so cute!!

Christmas
Christmas was nice and relaxing. Dad quarantined himself and stayed in his office because he was sick. I don't know how many times I have had to use germ X!!

FALL!!!

When I think of Fall:
-Flu shots (we got ours)
-Vanilla extract ( Why I think of that? don't know.)
-General Conference!
-Pumpkin cookies (yum!)
- Golden colors
-Day Light Savings Time
-Halloween CANDY
-Thanksgiving

Basically I really like Fall, even though it is still crazy hot outside, there is just well something in the air .

"I love the fall. I love it because of the smells that you speak of; and also because things are dying,
things that you don't have to take care of anymore, and the grass stops growing."
- Mark Van Doren so true!!

Can you smell Fall? I know I can.

Lame!!

So I figure that I should update: hence the title "Ashton update" nothing of importance has really happened. Here is a "list:"

-School started (LAME)

I am trying to think of anything else that has happened... Okay I've got nothing.
Well since this post is already lame. I'll just make it more lame with a stupid pick up line.

" Do you like Water?"
"Yes"
"Then you like 75% of my body"

Wooooow!!

later, Kirsten
